Il primo corso per farmacisti fu istituito da Ferdinando I nel 1817 al Liceo di Bari. Nel corso degli anni il suo statuto fu adattato ai regolamenti governativi volti a dare una nuova immagine alle discipline farmaceutiche e a creare ulteriori opportunità di lavoro per i farmacisti qualificati. Nel 1924 l'Università di Bari fondò la Scuola di Farmacia che continuò l'esperienza della vecchia Scuola Universitaria. Nel 1933 la Scuola divenne Facoltà.
The first course for pharmacists was established by Ferdinand I in 1817 at the Lyceum of Bari. Over the years it adapted its statute to the governmental regulations intended to give a new image to the pharmaceutical disciplines and create additional job opportunities for those qualified as pharmacists. In 1924 the University of Bari established its School of Pharmacy, that continued the experience of the old University School. In 1933 the School became Faculty.
