Forty-nine letters of the Bernese professor of pharmacy Alexander Tschirch to Martha Bernoulli, a dear friend living in Trieste, were recently published. They mention some pharmacists of Trieste and its region who were assistants or PhD students at the Institute of Pharmacy of the University of Bern. This article provides a brief biography survey for each as well as a description of the work they ran in Switzerland.
